L.E.D

THE CHALLENGE

Louisiana Economic Development (L.E.D.) is a government agency responsible for strengthening the state’s business environment and creating a more vibrant Louisiana economy. Through meetings with the client and card sorting, we conducted a site audit and identified pain points. Poor navigation, overwhelming amounts of content, and an unclear audience all contributed to an inefficient user experience.

THE PROCESS

Collaboration was paramount. In conjunction with account strategists, content writers, and SEO specialists, I ensured the user interface and experience solved the user pain points while addressing our client’s business goals. I simplified the site’s navigation, emphasizing the user’s needs: construction site selectors needed quick access to data, small business owners wanted clearer guidance to resources, and CEOs sought to understand Louisiana’s economic strengths.

THE RESULT

Redesigning this site was a comprehensive exploration into balancing user needs with content organization and clarification. It highlighted the importance of addressing diverse user priorities, using data to make decisions, and designing with empathy for multiple audiences. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team strengthened and enhanced my ability to deliver effectual design solutions.
